Coach Reed Steele
Reed Steele is a triathlon and swim coach for All Day Endurance. As a coach, Reed is dedicated to helping his athletes develop mastery in their technique and approach to training so that they can optimize their performance and achieve their goals. Reed takes a keen interest in guiding athletes in developing and honing mental skills to accompany and enhance their physical training..
Reed was an NCAA Division I collegiate runner at the University of Iowa and was the 1998 Big 10 Freshman of the Year. That year, he helped lead the Hawkeyes to their first NCAA Championship race in 21 years. In the 20+ years since college, he has continued to pursue endurance sports, focusing on swimming, cycling, and running. During this time, Reed has held nationally ranked performances in US Masters Swimming competitions, won the Minnesota State Road Race Cycling Championship, and has competed in triathlon races ranging from sprint to Ironman distance. Reed has competed in two Ironman triathlons, where he was the first athlete out of the water in both events.
Reed received his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University and completed doctoral work in Sport & Exercise Psychology at the University of Minnesota. Reed is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach. With over 15 years of coaching, training, and clinical work, Reed is excited to work with athletes and individuals of all abilities to help them focus on the little things so that they can finally achieve their big goals.
He lives in Naples, FL with his wife, Julie, and their 1-year-old son, Ezekiel.
